Pediatric Weight & Wellness

Compassionate, evidence-based care for children and adolescents with overweight and obesity — personalized nutrition and activity goals with behavioral support, following current AAP recommendations.

A family preparing a healthy meal together

Our Pediatric Weight & Wellness program supports children and adolescents living with overweight and obesity, following current American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations.

Care is built around your family: we set personalized nutrition and activity goals, talk through what is realistic at home, and follow up regularly so progress is supported rather than judged.

What to expect

  • A longer first visit to understand your child’s history, routines and goals
  • Growth and health screening appropriate to your child’s age
  • Practical nutrition and activity planning for your household
  • Behavioral support, and referrals when they would help
  • Regular follow-up visits to adjust the plan

[Add the visit frequency and any program length here.]

What the program includes

A family-centered approach

Evaluation

A thorough evaluation for weight-related health concerns, so we understand your child's whole picture before setting any goals.

Nutrition & activity goals

Personalized nutrition and physical activity goals that fit your family's routine — not a one-size-fits-all plan.

Behavioral support

Ongoing behavioral support to help families make realistic, lasting changes together.

For eligible adolescents, medication treatment may also be considered when appropriate — always as part of the same family-centered plan, and always a conversation with you.

Our goal

Not just weight — your child's overall health, confidence, and well-being

Weight is one number. What we are really working toward is a child who feels good, has energy for the things they love, and grows up with habits that last. Because the program lives inside your child's regular pediatric care, every visit builds on a team that already knows them.

Emotional health is part of the picture too — when it helps, we coordinate with our in-house Behavioral & Mental Health team.
