Dr. Sumbul Shakoor

For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of caring for children and families in the Chandler community. When I founded Chandler Pediatrics, my vision was to create more than a place families come when their child is sick. I wanted it to be a medical home—a place where children are known and cared for throughout every stage of their growth and development, and where parents feel heard, supported, and comfortable turning to us with their concerns. My goal has always been to build lasting relationships with families and provide thoughtful, coordinated care from infancy through adolescence and into young adulthood.

I received my medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical College and completed my pediatric residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center. I am board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. My training provided a strong foundation in comprehensive pediatric care, but some of my greatest lessons have come from the many children and families I have cared for over the years.

As a pediatrician, I believe the best care combines medical expertise with compassion, prevention, and a true partnership with parents. The trust that develops from caring for a family over many years is something I deeply value.

One of the greatest joys of my career has been watching children I first met as newborns grow into healthy young adults.

As the needs of children and families have changed, Chandler Pediatrics has continued to evolve. Along with comprehensive well-child and sick care, our practice has expanded its focus on behavioral and emotional health, developmental concerns, and comprehensive weight management. My goal is to look beyond the immediate illness and support the whole child—physically, emotionally, and developmentally.

Outside of medicine, I am a wife and mother of three. Raising my own family has given me an even deeper appreciation for the joys, challenges, and sometimes difficult decisions that come with parenthood. It has also reinforced something I have always believed as a pediatrician: parents know their children best, and the strongest care comes from working together.

It has been an honor to serve the Chandler community for more than two decades, and I look forward to continuing to care for both longtime and new families for many years to come.
